The Stand
As Salaamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu to all my Muslim brothers and sisters.
Peace and Welcome to all of my guests.
I do not know if anyone will read this or not. Even if this blog is never visited, it will have served its purpose, to allow me to tell my story. I am not telling my story for any other reason than to purge it from my system. I view this as a purification process, and I am hopeful that writing my thoughts and feelings and experiences on these pages will in many ways rid me of the wreckage of my past and help me to move forward into the beautiful future that I have in Islam. Through writing, I am standing up to those who beat me down in my past, to those who were supposed to love me and instead hated me, to those who abused me, to those who told me that I was worthless, to those who told me I was going to Hell because I did not believe as they did, to those who told me that I would never be anything, to those who told me that I could not make it as a single parent, to those who told me that I would never get through college, to those who told me I would never succeed at anything, to all of those who ever demeaned me, to all of them. . . I am standing up and saying. . . you were wrong.
yes they were wrong, and they still in wrong, hopfully one day they will open their minds before it is too late.

Forgiveness:
He has said:
“If you do good openly or conceal it, or if you forgive evil, indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Powerful.” (an-Nissa’ 4/149)
And He has said:
“Let them forgive and disregard [the transgressions of others]. Do you not wish that Allah forgive you? Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (an-Nur 24/22)

I don’t know what to say except mashaAllah the fact that you have stayed strong and have not backed down…. you inspire me sister. You give me hope and you have shown me what love you have for Allah and your deen. We know this is a test and Allah loves those he tests. May Allah reward you and grant you Jannah ameen.
